Yet it's still OK to shoot people, kill people with guns, bows and arrows, bombs, artillery. It will be one hell of a job getting all the smoke/smoking out of the 1920-1970 movies and television shows.
I had a "Wild Bill Hickock" double holster that just "had" to be replaced by the latest Davey Crockett model. Sounds like I'd be hard pressed to find either in a museum now!
Time-Warner can't show cartoons smoking but they still happily show (real) people being killed all the time. Misplaced priorities, I'd say.
By the way... I understand the Congressional Record is regularly "cleaned up", as is our equivalent called "Hansard".
