What is the source of the number? Is it a field and if so, is it a memo field or a numeric field? Is it a variable and if so, is the variable created in the report or before the report runs? What happens with something like:
ALLTRIM(transform(mytable.myfield, "###,###,###,###.##"))
with the field format properties on the report as right aligned character?
>I was trying to format a number on a report to two decimal places and using 99999.99 as the format gave strange results. I got numbers like 589.70.3 so it was rather odd, to say the least. So I tried a different method:
>
>ALLTRIM(TRANSFORM(number, "999,999.99"))
>
>and made the field character. So now what prints in the column is "MEMO". Never seen this one before. Anybody seen this?
