My suggestion would be to buy a commercial framework
I particularly like MaxFrame
Adopt coding conventions
Have code reviews
Learn to code compenents and interfaces
All the things that most hackers seem to resist.

You'll feel like you're moving slower off the line but it will pay dividends down the line.
