>>This seems contradictory to me. Are you truly for freedom of speech, or only speech you don't find too objectionable? Implicit in the freedom of speech is a degree of respect for people's ability to evaluate what they hear. We aren't sheep who blindly believe whatever we hear. If some Islamic wahoo wants to make an a** of himself spouting messages of hate and violence, let him. I think I am capable of seeing through it.

Well, gosh, you've got me there. "The situation here is pretty clear-cut." Not quite up to your usual standards, Dan. You may as well have said "My view is the only correct one." I don't always agree with your opinions but do like the thought that goes into them. You have an understanding of history and I respect that. No hard feelings -- see you in other discussions.
At the moment I am cramming on ASP.NET in preparation for an interview tomorrow. In some ways I am the perfect candidate for the job and in others will be bluffing until I get fully up to speed. Today and tonight I am working on the bluffing part <g>.

PS -- Do you get HBO? They premiered Spike Lee's four hour documentary about Hurricane Katrina last week and are rerunning the whole thing tomorrow night, the "anniversary" of the levees breaking. Hard to believe it's been a year already.
