Hi, Perry.
>Of course the suggestion of a framework is a good one, but a piece of the big puzzle as far as team developement goes. There are several discussions on the Java Ranch forum I pointed out that involve "Pair Programming", "Maintenance Project - Life Cycle", "Code Review Practice". And these are but a few.
Just in case you are interested, I wrote a series of articles about Agile methodologies applied to VFP development last year for UT Mag (there are still there, available for free). As you said, development methodologies are mostly language independent. Agile practice is a bit difficult in Cobol, but even so...
I mentored teams around Agile practices on .NET, Java, C++, and VFP. As I'm quite fond of the VFP community I decided to write this articles for VFP as many people told me that they couldn't find VFP specific guidance. I'm trying to do the same with Design Patterns right now.
Yes, other platforms -mainly Smalltalk, C++ and Java- has a bigger tradition in team development and agility, but VFP has its share, too.
See you,
