Need a function to convert a numeric value to a literal. I'm sure it's out there and really don't want to re-invent the wheel.

fctn(1234.56) = "One thousand, two hundred thirty-four and 56/100"

Additional parameters could dictate syntax, display of decimals, etc.
fctn(1234.56,char) = "One thousand, two hundred thirty-four and fifty-six hundredths"

I know this is available in banking(check writing) and accounting type applications/software, but have never seen it in a database. We use FoxPro 2.6 exclusively in our office, so I am bound by what is available in that arena. So WHERE is it?

Also, would like to see similar applications/code in Access and other databases and spreadsheets (Excel). So WHERE ELSE might I find them?
