So effectively you blag extra days vacation by taking them as PTO?
How many days a year are allocated?
Is it frowned upon to take them for other than family crises?

>Common now is PTO (Personal Time Off) which can be used for anything. Vacation, sick, whatever. This is aside from holidays.
