There is a third party utility that slows down the machine enough till the code can be ported to VFP where the problem doesn't exist. Here's a link to it http://www.vss-inc.com/slowstart.html

There is another possible solution at http://www.abri.com/ Just follow the FoxPro link to the foxpro page to FPWlistBox link and download fpwlistb.zip file.
