You might also look into making this tool the first step of an automatic dependency check. I wrote something like that to spell out the dependency of changes done in/to higher classes to the different parts of the application. This helped to reduce the testing effort quite a bit, since some modules didn't have to be tested if none of the superclass sources had been altered.
