What FOUND()? That isn't in my code snippet.
Are you sure the record pointer is not at the "current" record rather than the SEEKed record?
i.e. is the lMovePointer param of INDEXSEEK() set to .T.?

The .Selected( lnRecNo) worked for me.
Is it that you are actually already IN the table of the combo, i.e. that is the form's main table? I wasn't aware of that. You just said enter a code and see if it's already in the listbox.

Why not have the main table in a grid rather than a listbox?
