Looks to me like the 'override individual settings' maybe a bit quirky. When I first set it none of my PRG's had the line/col position. Even after closing and reopening. But as soon as I went to an individual PRG and had it display line/col then the rest of the PRG's I opened start showing it as well. Also, make sure you have your status bar on.
