We have a VFP9 application that we would like to create a COM object for, in order to allow other developers access to our methods and have data passed back through our COM object.

This VFP9 app accesses a VFP database.

We would like to have any sort of developer use our COM object. What is the best way of passing the data back to a developer who is using our COM object?

We were thinking of creating a wrapper for our business classes and returning an XML string containing the VFP cursor to the developer. Is this an acceptable approach?

Any advice is appreciated.
