You should NEVER use a general field for permanent storage, since it is very difficult to get the data out again, and lots of space is wasted. Instead, you can have a field that contains only the filename of the images.

You can use it for the report - the command is APPEND GENERAL - but there is also another alternative: Insert an image, set the option to "File", but instead of a filename, provide the name of the field that contains the image references.
