Hi Sean,

The "Outlook.pst" file reports 1,835,217KB, which seems far enough from 2GB to not be the problem.

The problem with "Repair" is that it says it will 'restore my OFFICE (i.e. not just Outlook) to original state. And my Outlook has lots of "Rules" that I hope not to lose.

I'm not really in a position to use some other mail service.

>The issue may not be with your outlook program but your mailbox size. Try creating a backup of .pst file, by going through control panel --> mail. If you no longer have access to that feature, I start to quickly run out of ideas. You may also try the method mentioned here: http://www.slipstick.com/problems/repair2gbpst.htm
