If you want to do something with VFP you don't need NET. You could need NET for the WEB interface (ASP.NET) but you could do that with any other tool, even the old ASP.

I reckon you should make you backend in SQL with a Data Access lier in VFP, you business object in VFP and you User Interfaces one in VFP and the other in ... ASP or ASP.NET or whatever.

Another could be to do all the Users Interfaces in ASP or whatever for both internal and clients.
