Looking at the Class Modeling part of the documentation, it's possible to do class diagrams right out of existing program. We used to do coding directly without class diagram, so my question is, what's the use of class modeling? Is it better for us to do code before doing class diagramming?

I don't see much point in creating class diagrams after coding, other than documentation. A class diagram is a tool to help you understand the objects in your application. I routinely use them in the design phase. How can you possibly develop an app without understanding what the data is and how it will be manipulated or delivered?
