>Its an ok colour on little fun cars like beetles or the cinqecento.

D'you know I nearly said that to you in my 1st reply, re: the new Beetle. I think most of them ARE yellow, aren't they? :-)

>We (my son and I) play a game in the car on some journeys called yellow car. If you see it first you say yellow car and punch the other one on the arm.

My how the miles must fly be (in fear) for your son! :-)

>It makes you aware of how boring most car colours have become. Henry Ford should have said they can have any colour they like as long as its silver.

Trouble with silver cars is that they disappear into the gloaming if no side lights on (same with charcoal grey). Such cars should have mandatory lights, like Volvos.

I decapitate one of my daughters every time I spot a de Dion Bouton (and we have the vintage car rally in Brighton)

>>Agreed! Wrong colour for ANY car, but esp an Aston Martin. They should only be black, silver, grey, BRG or various sombre colours, such as deep brown.

>>My cousin has an Audi A4 in canary yellow and I felt ashamed to be seen in it (mind you, that was in Canada, so I needn't have fretted :-)

>>Funnily, I saw a Vectra today, first one that wasn't silver or black, and it changed its look completely.

>>>I saw a bright yellow Aston Martin in Bath yesterday. Definitely the wrong colour for that car . It looked really cheap.
