I remember them. Rather have the other NSU than a Prinz though :-)
Similar car was the old Wartburgs - all 2-strokes if I remember correctly.
Maybe the reason why there were lots and then none, is that the Messchersmidt factory had a lot of spare capacity and unused cockpits after the War
