Aye, I've seen one or two similar, even recently. Keeping dry was not the main reason for covetting one of these Carvers though.
I've always thought of these covered m/cs that what a responsibility to not let it fall over and scratch and/or break all that fibreglass superstructure. They do look awfully top-heavy and cumbersome. It's bad enough with panniers and fairings on the posher bikes like the Honda Goldwing.
