Another way of looking at it would be
One horizontal DLU = 1/4 the average current system font
width.

And the average character width is calculated with FONTMETRIC(6)

>Mike I dont really follow the formula. They talk about non system font (im using tahoma which I think is a system font) and dialog font?? huh .. what is that and where do I find out what it is
