I think I am nearly there!! Making the "ldisablebuttons" a property of the form was a good start....

Anyway, I am now getting an error message:

ERROR MESSAGE: Variable 'RUNEVENTCODE' is not found.
PROGRAM CODE: bindevent(thisform,"ldisablebuttons",this,runeventcode,1)

I have created a custom method called 'RUNEVENTCODE' in the subclass of the button so I don't know why VFP can't find it.

Any clues?
