Secretary Rice made a tour of Europe emphatically denying that any such thing (grabbing people and transporting them to secret prisons in Europe and Asia) ever took place. Many other Administration officials denied the same on U.S. news interviews/speeches.

And this is your reaction? I would have expected at least a tad of outrage.

Bush and most of this administration are a bunch of simpletons. They continue to believe they can tell many stories and that it won't catch up with them. There's nothing new here.

I want as peaceful a planet as possible. But there are those who don't, and seek to destroy us. So if "alternative interrogation methods" include occasionally slapping the piss out of known conspirators, to get some important information, that's fine with me. If anything, I wish Bush would say these things more openly.
