Speaking of great British comedies, there's a good one running Saturday nights (right after Rosemary & Thyme and Python remix) - "Red Dwarf". I never thought anyone would ever be able to put up a good SF comedy, but this one has me bowling of laughter.

nb. I had a dispute with one of the daughters on "But HGTTG is a comedy", where I argued that HGTTG is first and foremost a full scale SF novel, which is funny all the way, but has all the plausibility of serious SF work. It's, IMO, much more than just a comedy.
