Now a real politician – take Spiro Agnew for an example, would simply say, “I am innocent of any wrong doing”!

I was listening to our clock radio before getting ready for work when I heard Agnew state those words. Then Agnew resigned as Vice President, and Gerald Ford was appointed Vice President. Nixon resigned as President and was pardoned by then President Gerald Ford. Watergate was an interesting event. Now who was to blame? :)
