do you remember Beslan school hostage crisis? It was this celebration .... And, if you will remember it was a celebration an world peace day too.

That there seems to be no celebration in the U.S. is the reason why I've startted this thread - you got no goot page about it.

>Very interesting. In the former Soviet Union all schools always start on September 1st (or first Monday in September). It was a celebration too, especially for the first grade... I'm not sure whether it is still a tradition in post Soviet republics...
