Hi

I don't know how to restrict CPU usage, but another approach you could try is lowering the priority of the process - see http://www.news2news.com/vfp/?example=218&function=349 for an example of how to do it. As Windows schedules thread activity based on the process priority, reducing the priority should allow other tasks to be undertaken while VFP is processing.
