Hi Dennis,
I have not done anything in VFP9, but in VFP8 and VFP6, I have grids that show fields from two related tables correctly. I use the native DE and in the DE I set a relation between the the two tables. The data shows up correctly from there, without doing anything else. This must be a problem with VFP9.

>>Yes, that's exactly what I've done. Inelegant at best.

>>But is this a bug? That's hard to say, because I don't know what else is going on. In any case, I've always wondered by refresh didn't do the trick.

>>>Hi. This has also been my experience. What I do is everytime the form the grid is in has been Activate(d). I put code in the form's Activate event to setfocus to the grid. Not elegant to say the least.
