No problem. There are almost always many ways to accomplish things in VFP. I was just pointing out that while it was a viable solution, it didn't seem like the best approach here. Why would you use arrays over cursors and the SQL engine just to get sorting unless there was some VERY compelling reason to do so. Or, of course, just for the sake of doing it that way because you can. ;)

>Oops - Sorry. It was just a thought. I'm not a VFP guru such as most of the folks on the UT. Good luck with your problem. Of course you could add a field and put a reversed count into that field and scan on it. Then blow the field away.
