Download and run the latest version of windows installer and verify the development version of the activex controls and any dependencies are all installed on your machine by manually unregistering the activex control on your machine and DBI has a developer install version of their controls - run that afterwards to repair any broken links and reinstall the developer version of the activex. I had this happen once when I ran our client install on my development machine.

>Strange situation. All of sudden, the Windows installer tries to launch when I try to run or modify certain forms. In particular, it's forms that have a dbi-tech treeview ocx control on them. My app also uses InstallShield. I've been using these tools for years, no problem. As far as I can figure, it started after I installed the Softkey trial limiting software, and I removed that, no change. I've tried cleaning out the registry and a few other things but I still can't figure out what's going on. Has anyone seen this problem before and is there a solution?
