CDO (CDOSYS) is installed by default, but it probably can be uninstalled. CDONTS is not installed on XP by default, rather installed by Outlook:

The first versions of Windows XP might have been shhipped without at least MSXML2.DLL being installed. However, if you use the VFP merge modules, they should add MSXML3 as a dependency, because VFP needs these libraries for its XML functions.
