I would like to have my EXE at only one place on network and install shortcut on each workstation. This will make easier to upgrade my application to another version, by only replace the EXE to one place.

1. Do you think it's a good idea?
2. How to do that with InstallShield?
because what I understand, Installshield install EXE on every place I do setup (then one every workstation). I know the performance could be better if EXE is placed locally instead on network, but is it really faster?
