TAPI is difficult, but not impossible, under VFP. TAPI is threaded, i.e. you make a call to TAPI with a processing return address. When the TAPI function has completed, it calls the return address with completion information.

If you are still interested in trying this, I will give you a book title, that is very helpful. I don't have it here at home, but can get it from work soon.
