I'm creating an Excel spreadsheet in VFP. I'm issuing either of the following:

COPY TO (lcFileName) TYPE XLS
COPY TO (lcFileName) TYPE XL5

After programatically opening the spreadsheet in Excel from VFP I manually go to save it. A message informs me that it is an older version and asks whether I want to save it as a current version. I would expect VFP9 SP1 to create a current XLS formatted file, but apparently not.

How does one get VFP to create a file in the new version initially?
