>>>Well Perry I am certainly no military expert and I would be interested in responses from people like Daniel and Tracy. It just seems to me that you can't bomb an entire country / culture out of existence. Hence you only end up with more resentment, more anger, and more hatred
>>
>>You can militarily defeat a nation amd if it is backed up with nation-building... things can work out. See Japan and Germany. The US nuked Japan and the US and Japan have a pretty cozy relationship now.

>Have you got a modern times example of an AGGRESSOR nation winning a war and then having a cozy relationship with the people vanquished?
>Palestine doesn't quite fit. Any that do?

>Germany and Japan was different in that they were both the aggressors.

We attacked a member of the United Kingdom and won the war. Reagan declared war forgetting that we do have a constutition and a congress. We replaced an undesired government with one that is corupt and to our liking. The people of Grenada love us – I think. I understand that the Queen was not happy.
