Sure it's easy with the WebBrowser control. One thing that has been done in many a demo is create a maximized window, set it to be a AlwaysOnBottom, then load a maximized Web Browser control into it and effectively have an 'active desktop' like Windows does where you can load images, or an application specific 'home screen' that is interactive and looks nice with HTML layout.
