Noddy, my Father used to read it to me in '72, the writing is still older, but if you read it you will find it as fresh a read as you would expect from a writer these-a-days.
If you yourself are a Mystery / Courtroom novels fan, read Perry Mason series by Earl Stanley Gardner, only in rare cases you will find that the author is describing a very old world else the setup could very well be in today's world.
What I meant was that such books / novels don't have a time limiting factors in their writings, making you think of an old world and thus seems boring to read.
