However I have a small query/problem: I have found that if I send an email with many attachments, say 50, totaling about 3 Mb, and then use the POP3 control to retrieve that email and save each attachment in turn to disk then it starts off quickly but as it works its way from attachment 1 to 50 it gets progressively slower and the cpu is flat-lining at 100%. What's going on here? I am running the VFP program with the pop3 control on the same machine as is hosting the mail server. It should be really fast imo.
