>>Hi Naomi
>>
>>>My son, who is 7 years old, started to like reading. Yesterday evening he surprised me a little bit by finishing "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" in 2 evenings (about 1h.+ reading).
>>
>>It is a great feeling, and esp. knowing that he likes reading. My son too is 7 years old and currently he is reading Enid Blyton's Secert Seven books, next in line is Famous Five series from the same writer.
>>
>>Enid Blyton books are great (These two above series are from my collection *g* I read them and saved them)

>Interesting. Don't remember hearing about this one. I'm adding it to the list.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enid_BlytonI'm surprised! Only some of the most famoud children's books of all time! Of course, there are the Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck stories.
The trouble with my 7 YO is that she tends to get read the same as my 10 YO, and watch the same videos. So it's as if she's "skipped" part of her childhood and moved on
