Daniel, a very interesting article. In your post above you quote, and hence focus on, two passages which attack the liberal pov. However, it seems to me that the real focus of the article is (a) the Muslim fanatic, (b) the Christian fanatic, (c) the miss-management of the war in Iraq. The liberal issue seems to be the least important issue especially in respect of what the author suggests will be a coming clash of religions. I think his ending sentence is the most revealing: To say that this does not bode well for liberalism is an understatement: It does not bode well for the future of civilization.
