Hi All, I have been pulling my hair out over this one - please help, scenario: Fox for DOS dbf field data not updating / going missing. Yesterday I ran a batch program which basically updates a couple of fields in one table with values from another based on a common field, here is the statement used.

Replace field1 with right(afield1,2) + afield2 for empty(field1)

no rocket science there !?

Here is the rub !, if I query the table (the one I updated) using a DOS app all the values updated can be seen, however, if I browse the table using VFP, the fields are blank, I've tried closing VFP, rebooting the machine all to no avail, how can this be ?
