Sorry for my delay in responding after you were kind enough to try and help me. I had a deadline and figured out my problem and forgot to check my messages.
You are on the right track. I had valid code that I also copied a few places into click code by mistake.
It actually affected fields fore and aft of where the code was.
It didn't return .f.- but keyboarded {CTRL HOME}. Took me a while to find the problem in the 5 screen TAB set. It was sdriving me crazy. I changed classes- created new classes just to clean things out- reset the TAB order many times- all to no avail. Finally figured it out.
