This works as I expected

loTest = CREATEOBJECT([TextBox])
loTest.Value = [aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa]

lcTest = [loTest.Value]
? EVALUATE(lcTest) &&-> aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
? &c1.             &&-> aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
