I mean, if you go and change your windows setup colours (I have all my windows background colours a restful green, to avoid headaches from the white radiation) you'll find the checkbox takes this colour. I haven't been able to change mine. I think it's governed by the ColorScheme prop. IOW it's essentially a user decision.
