That's exactly what I was looking for... thanks Bonnie. I knew there had to be a way to load the datatable within the dataset, instead of just loading the datatable itself.

I think I had heard before about always returning XML, but last week I read a article that said if you know you are always going to be consuming the web service from an ASP.NET application, then it is OK to return a dataset. I think I'll take Kevin's and your advice or that article's.
