Just to play fair, I'm in the process of reading the article you linked. While I don't agree with all of his points, he does raise some interesting issues.

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinion, and I bow to your expertise on Eastern European issues. However, I still challenge your dismissal of the CFR as "Bolton-like". You may disagree with some of the papers they've released, but if Cohen's is one of them, that tells me that it isn't some monolithic, single-minded organization. To dismiss them so easily strikes me as a knee-jerk response to anything and everything that people even remotely tied to the Bush Administration are involved in.
