I got the following answer from MS on Tuesday:
Gray,
The WinArch exams do not retire until June of 1999, although the new track
comes out in October. If you wanted to take two elective exams you will
remain certified until October 1998 at which time you will need to upgrade
your core exams.
Visual FoxPro may be added to our requirements in the future but is not at
this time.

>I have no other information or sources of info to offer. I hope Steven is correct but I'd say it doesn't look good. I mean, if they haven't decided to add VFP to the core track by now, what incentive is it to do at any time unless our numbers expand trmendously.

>>Yes, I saw parts of that thread, but I believe Steven Black said something about MS being a big company and all, meaning that perhaps someone was misinformed. But it is your understanding that it will indeed only be an elective?

>>>There was a thread on that yesterday or the day before. Somebody got a reply from the MCP program at MS that, sigh, apparently not.
