The Japanese, Indians (in India) and the Hungarians also write their surname first. I find it often confusing. E.g. when I get an email from some guy (guy?) from India, like Chandramouli Subramanian who wrote below the email S.Chandramouli and later presented herself (she?) as Chandra.

The French try to make it a little bit clearer what part constitutes the surname. It is in upper case. But I only am aware of this since today. Ah, local habits...
