No pun intended, but I wonder how much time you will waste on this conversion before you realize that you should really have refactored instead. I was in the same position a few years ago, it took me two months to realize that I had to drop the whole project, and start all over again with the form designer. Then it took me two weeks to create the same "thing" with a much nicer interface and a lot of more features. Plus all of a sudden programming became so much more fun!
