>8 trillion dollars – just a number with a lot of zeros at the end! It seems to grow. How do we finance our war on terrorism with Afghanistan and Iraq? Easy just let investors from other countries buy us. China is our greatest source of investment and tenth on the list is Mexico. It would seem that we are not too pushy when it comes to flexing our muscles to let some nations know who is the boss! We can be had for a price!

And the newsflash is?

President Clinton was well on the way toslving this problem. We had a projected surplus inthe balance of pauyments for years to come. Then the voters, in their infinite wisdom, decided to elect somebody that does not find a spending bill he does not like (no vetos) and then decided to elect them again even though they knew what the state fo the economy is and where we are going.

I guess people like to be in debt. That's the American Way. Just for the record, I did not vote for this bunch. My vote had nothing to do with terrorism (remember this was before 9/11) and all to do with the economy, the financial situation, and the environment. I give failing grades - big time - on all these issues to the current bunch.
