I am a bit confused, "why does the form display a message - THIS can only be used in a method" when the command is used in cboCustomer.Valid(). Secondly, after I click OK to clear the message, the list box displays all records from the orders table, as if This.Value had the local scope.

Any one ever experienced something like this?

Update:

I created a similar form in VFP9 on the PC where I get the problem using free tables (as opposed to loading tables from a database). These free tables are copies of the tables from the same database. The form runs without any proplem. I created a similar form in VFP 6 using free tables. Again, no errors!

I don't know how tables loaded from a database in data environment can cause the strange problem!

Any comments?
